LPDA provided design services for A Dream Come True Playground, a universally accessible playground in Harrisonburg, Va.  The playground offers many unique play events allowing children of different abilities to play and interact.  The playground has arching pathways and many curvilinear planting areas creating a free-form and organic feel to the playground. The playground is rich with textures and sensory variety, creating a play environment that stimulates involvement, interaction, and expression.

The park has two large playgrounds, a picnic and shelter area with game tables, swings for all abilities, a sensory garden for touch and smell, an imaginative play area with fun play houses including a barn, a fire station and fire house, an ice cream shop and a weather station with working equipment,  a shaded place to gather for story time or quiet time, a colorful wall for drawing, a seat wall filled with textural items to touch and play with, a faux rock sensory wall and water feature, chalk drawing, a garden trellis tunnel, a rainbow gate, and a ball toss and game area.
