LPDA, as a part of the design team, worked with town officials and the public through a series of public input sessions to develop a master plan and graphics for the Town of Mathews streetscape project. 

The design focuses on providing traffic calming and safe pedestrian connectivity along the length of the corridor while providing opportunities for landscaped islands to complement the existing parallel parking.

In the commercial core of the town, LPDA worked to develop additional parking as well as landscaped bumpouts and enhanced crosswalk design to facilitate safer pedestrian movements and a more aesthetically pleasing gateway.
