Lofts at Reston Station is the redevelopment of an underperforming office park adjacent to the Wiehle-Reston Metro Station. The project features multi family housing, park spaces, public art, and streetscape for existing roadways and a planned extension of Reston Station Boulevard.
LPDA was responsible for the early planning concepts of this project and completing the landscape architecture for approval and construction. LPDA’s scope included site landscape and streetscape. Public art was a requirement of the zoning approvals. LPDA worked with the Client to develop a theme for depicting the history of public transit in the area and the importance of its influence in the development of Reston and the Dulles Airport corridor.
