Alan Pearson Cancer Center and Healing Gardens

The Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center is a two story medical office building designed to accommodate Medical and Radiation Oncology tenant suites. LPDA has provided site master planning and landscape architecture services for the complete site, including the healing garden and main entry area.

The healing garden theme is “a palette of serenity and peace.” The palette is a mixture of yellows, crèmes, blues, and lavenders, accented with scarlet, reds, and the rich greens of the structural plantings. The theme for the healing garden will set the tone for the Cancer Center Campus. A series of appropriately scaled spaces are provided for sitting, contemplation and gathering. Water, stone, wood, sculpture, landforms and soft plantings are used to create comfortable environments for patients, visitors and employees.
