Eastham Riverfront Park

Warren County and Front Royal Virginia are known as “The Canoe Capital of Virginia”. The County acquired several properties along the Shenandoah riverfront for conservation and recreation. The parcels provide water access via, boat ramps and canoe launches. They provide access to adjacent school sites, wooded conservation areas and downtown sidewalk systems. LPDA was hired to plan and prepare construction documents for several phases of the riverfront park and greenway system.

Design and construction documents have been prepared for multiple phases of trail, dog parks, canoe launches, boat ramps, trail heads, waysides and interpretive signage. The trail system provides connections to a boat landing, Skyline Vista High School, and Front Royal.

For each phase, LPDA provided assistance with obtaining grants; master-planned trail alignments; and provided all design documents and construction packages; provided detailed cost estimates; coordinated with VDOT and County departments for plan reviews; and undertook all construction administration.
